Showcasing work by local artists in Devon and Cornwall and celebrating traditional business values...
Jan and Mike welcome you to Panache Gallery and Gifts - a family run art gallery and gift shop which has been serving clients for over 20 years. We bought Panache in 2008 in Kingsand/Cawsand South East Cornwall. The business has grown and we are now located in larger premises in Antony village in Cornwall (of Alice in Wonderland fame!). When you are in the area do come and visit us to come and explore what we have to offer.
We are located in the beautiful "Forgotten Corner" of Cornwall, the Rame Peninsula. We are only 4 miles from Kingsand and Cawsand as well as only a few miles from Plymouth, Looe, Polperro, Torpoint, etc.
We are so proud to offer beautiful art by artists in Cornwall and Devon as well as a large selection of gifts and jewellery.
We work closely with our partner business, Rame Framing (run by Mike) to meet all of your framing requirements.
We are delighted that you have taken time to visit our website and pleased to introduce you to our range of original art, paintings, prints, jewellery, gifts for all occasions.
Many of our products are locally produced, designed or handmade in Cornwall and Devon and exclusive to Panache Gallery and Gifts.
We support the Made in Cornwall scheme by stocking many of Made in Cornwall members' products.
Customers are welcome to come and see us any time in our retail shop and are always assured of a warm welcome. We also have FREE parking literally outside our shop!!
Please reach out to us at jan@panachegallery.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 10am-5pm, and Saturday from 10am-1pm. We are very happy to open outside of these times by arrangement.
Try before you buy…….
We can help you choose a suitable piece of art by attending your home with a selection of works. You can see what they look like in your home or work surroundings without any obligation to buy. There is no charge for this service.
There are lots of things to consider when framing a piece of art or photographs or memorabilia. The picture frame and mounting should help to enhance the item as well as offer protection.
The frame should not detract from the art or item being framed by being too large or a conflicting colour. The colour and style of frame will depend on a number of factors, the art itself, the location and colour pallette where it will be displayed, the style of home or office interior it will enhance, proximity to other art and objects, general style and home decor being complimented.
Sometimes a simple frame will enhance a picture better than a flashy complicated design, but it takes many years of experience to guide you to the best decision for you and your art. Then ofcourse there are budgetary considerations - cheapest options may not always be best value for money in the long run.
Our picture framer has over 15 years experience and can offer his advice as part of the whole picture framing service.
Firstly and most importantly, try to buy art that gives you pleasure - something that evokes joy, brings back special memories, enhances your living or work space, brightens a room, etc.
Art can be an investment but this is never guaranteed so we always say buy what gives you pleasure and if it turns out to be a long term investment then that will be a bonus!
Consider where the art will be on display and who will primarily view it?
Art that is on display in a bedroom may not work so well in your living room. Art on show in a public place e.g. a workspace may need to have wider appeal.
We can help you with your decision making and we take great delight in offering you assistance.
